Inspired by a pushup-strong duo in Central Ohio (who found inspiration in the 2006 version of us), this 2010 December, five of us are doing at least 20,000 pushups. Whether you're celebrating the end of the first or the beginning of the second decade of century 21, do some pushups with us to bring this year to a close. Though we've figured out how to rid ourselves of weak chests and triceps, Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS) is still without a cure. Please help us push up and get the word out. Keep tabs on us by monitoring our blog with the link above. And donate to our potentially lifesaving cause. Get strong!
How You Can Help:
1. Start pushing up wherever you are and make a big deal out of it.
2. Ask friends and family and strangers to donate per pushup or per their discretion to research a cure for ALS.
3. Direct them to: www.projectals.org.
4. Tell them to click CONTRIBUTE NOW and say the contribution is on behalf of themselves and "Thousands of Push-Ups."
a. People can also donate directly to us by using the "donate" link at the top of the page.
5. Let us know how you're doing. Send us videos, pictures stories or plans.
If you're in the NYC area and want to do push-ups with us, let us know!
